How do you manager your time on internet? Nowadays people abuse the internet and use it for many unproductive things. The intended purpose for the internet was for entertainment, business, political, learning, communication, financial, shopping, services and marketing but we as a society abuse these privileges by allowing the internet to take control of our lives and using it for useless things.
Most people do use the internet for learning purposes, going in with good intentions and the intention on learning new material, however they don’t actually retain the information they’re receiving too well. Most of the time the information they read about passes through them and they don’t actually learn what it is they’re researching. Therefore, they are simply using the internet as a way to learn something at that moment to complete a task. We as a society have access to literally almost everything on the internet, so it’s very easy for a lot of us to slack of education wise knowing we can just search it up on Google later. Not all countries have the privilege of the internet though. While in general the internet is booming and quite possibly the fastest growing thing right now, it really depends on what country you’re currently located at. Countries like Europe, most parts of Asia, and most parts of North and South America all have moderate to great economies. This means they have a good GDP (Gross Domestic Product), which is how countries are ranked on the economic scale and are able to provide things like the internet to the citizens living there. However in most countries in Africa, who have weak economic standings, they are unable to provide things like internet to their people, which means it’s not booming for them like how it is with us. The internet can benefit us in many ways. It can give us knowledge and entertainment. There are plenty of sites for entertainment like Youtube, Google and even social media sites can provide us with entertainment. The internet also helps us with knowledge. Even though it was previously stated that a lot of don’t retain the information well on the internet, we still can retain that knowledge if we really try to actually learn in and not just copy and paste. Internet usage is growing so fast however. Everyone wants to be caught up to date with the latest tech and wants to “fit in” so more people start to use it. People also are starting to realize that phones are actually very important in the context of having it incase you really need to contact someone, know where you’re at, etc. Plus we live in a fast paced society where everyone wants everything new and better as quick as soon as possible. So competition between companies offer this and make it cheaper so it’s more accessible to more people. The results of everything previously said all really depend on the country you’re in and where is stands economically. You are most likely to have these results in a more wealthy and first world country than you are in a 3rd world country. |
